When I got them they were not available chromed so I had mine done, but you can order them that way. Besides more comfort it gives you much needed ground clearance so you don't drag your pegs as easily.”

“I purchased a set of LREXTREME forward controls for my 2002 VTX model C for two reasons. First reason was the stock foot peg setup does not allow enough ground clearance to put the bike deep into a corner.  The pegs would scrape way to easy.  And secondly, I wanted more forward room for my legs.  The LREXTREME forward controls offer a rider 3 additional inches out and 1 inch up.  This provides ample room for any rider as well as the necessary ground clearance to put the VTX into most any canyon corner.  

Installation took about 45 minutes and all of the necessary hardware is included.  Fit and chrome finish were excellent. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to improve lower body ergonomics and overall ridability of the VTX model C.”

“I am 6’ 3" tall and needed to extend my leg position, I have bad knees and having them cramped up for extended periods can be painful, the forward controls from L&R Extreme was a perfect solution.
They give me the extra leg room that I need, raised the pegs slightly to avoid dragging and they have an extremely solid feel.
The customer service is above compare, I broke the shift linkage on a Sunday, e-mailed him that evening and he said he would overnight it, so on Monday afternoon I had the new linkage in my hands, "NO CHARGE", now that's service!”

“You want more leg room on your "C" model VTX? Tired of having your legs and lower back cramping? Or not being able to stretch out on you VTX? Tired of having your pegs hit and drag ?
If you answered Yes to any of these questions then do what I did, unlock your wallet and spring some green for "LREXTREME" forward controls.  I did and man what an improvement. I'm 6'5" with a 34" inseam and Chas's forward controls took care of the cramped feeling I had buy moving everything forward, along with moving the controls up for more ground clearance which the VTX severely needs.
I would, also, like to thank Chas for providing this much needed modification with the option of plain, chrome or powder coating if that is your thing.  BIGLRY Out:-)”

“I’m only 5'10'' and like to stretch out.. I have Rivco hi-way pegs but heard about the Xtreme forward control.. they let me stretch out some while leaving my foot on the controls.. the quality and chroming was great.. I would give em a 9.9 on a 1 to 10 scale.”

“L&R Extreme Forward controls has made the ride so pleasurable that you can just keep Going and Going and Going.
I'm 6'2" and the L&R Forward controls not only let's you get over a little more in the twisties but it stretches you out on the bike so you can sit in a rested position.
The Mod was a snap and the quality was first class can't think of any thing else that has mad the ride more comfortable.”

“If you want maximum comfort and performance with slick looks, then you have GOT TO get a set of Chas's forwards. When I first got my 02 C model, the peg position made you look like you were riding a Valkyrie or Goldwing, it just didn’t say bad ass. Now looks like im riding a slammed drag bike. Construction on these are top notch, they will hold an elephant. Comfort and performance level is off the charts now, thanks to my forward controls. Cornering is much easier since you wont drag now. There is nothing like it on the market, and the price is right. Chas is a standup guy and if you are going to buy these, you couldn’t get them from a better guy.”

”On any Sunday you can find sport bikes, cruisers and classic motorcycles enjoying the fresh air around  the palomar mountains. This is where my info on the Forwards starts...atop Palomar mountain.
 
Lee and I where running hard up Palomar scraping our pegs at every corner we took hard. This proved to take the fun out of the  the big X .   Lee and I were standing around drinking coffee in the cold and we thought, "Sure would be nice to raise the controls and move them forward.", Lee's immediate response was, "I can do that!" and I could see the wheels were turning.
 
About a week later, I received the forwards in the mail.  The originals were 2+2 and a shift linkage extending adapter.   We thought that this was going to be it,  until we sat on it. It seemed that it just raised them.  We needed more leg room. So back to the drawing board and pull out some high tech tools;  ie: small square, to redesign.  The intent was to make the kit a bolt on with little or no mods.
 
I am here today to let all of you know I believe that there are a few mandatory mods for the X, and this is at the top of my list! The workmanship and design on these forwards is first rate and truly a bargain. I consider them a must for any serious rider!
 
I would also like to assure you that in this world today there are truly a lot of shady builders out there and Lee is proudly not in that group. I have known Lee for  a little over a year now and can say that he is upstanding and takes great pride in his customer service and craftsmanship . Most importantly, I have made a great friend for life ”
